Our centre is staffed during the day so you can be sure that there will be someone to hand if you need any assistance.


We will set up rooms to your requirements ready for your arrival and are on hand to help you set up display equipment and arrange any additional items you have booked.


For larger events that require PA and projection our staff will run this for you.

Facilities & equipment

We are proud to offer a centre with great facilities which includes the following:



  • On-site kitchen and catering team with the facility to cater for large groups.


  • Ground floor toilets at both ends of the building


  • 3 baby changing cubicles


  • Wide-screen HD displays or projection & screens in every room*


  • Over 30 folding tables, 10 room dividers, 550 chairs and a small moveable stage


  • We have a photocopier that can be used for a small charge



We can equip rooms with tables, chairs, flip chart stands and display boards.  We have projectors for hire (£10) if you prefer to use a projector instead of the HD screens.

We are able to offer little extras that mean you get the most out of booking with us:


  • Flexible room layout: theatre, cafe style etc


  • Tables and chairs are set up at no extra cost


  • Water jugs


  • Tea's and coffee's can be provided for £1 per head


  • Buffet style catering in house or from the local deli for all sizes of group - enquire for cost


  • We may be able to  provide a PA operator for larger events at an extra cost


  • Staffed conference packages available -   enquire for details


The Barnabas Centre seeks to be fully accessible and we are working hard within the constraints of the building being over 100 years old.  We have two marked disabled parking spaces.  There is an access ramp at the entrance and one fully accessible toilet.


We have a hearing loop installed in the Main Hall & Hulbert Room.  We have hosted meetings for Shopmobility Shrewsbury, Lip Reading Courses and other similar groups.


The majority of our rooms are on the ground floor.  We always seek to host groups downstairs if possible but please make this clear at the time of booking.

Main hall

Our main hall is the largest room in the building, accommodating up to 550 people.  With ground floor access it has 2 large screens available with staffed projection and PA.
